Yes. It keeps the battery chemistry warmer so more cranking power is available. It works best with a healthy battery; it cannot rescue one with a failed cell.
Can I use a battery blanket and block heater together?
Yes, if the outlet, timer, cords and splitter are rated for the combined load. A typical blanket draws far less power than the engine heater.
Should I buy a wrap or a battery pad?
