Lincoln Corsair engines & block heater part numbers

Engine list built from Natural Resources Canada model-year data. Part numbers are catalog candidates unless a source review is shown for that application. Confirm the exact engine code, model year and installation port before ordering; an Amazon listing match does not confirm vehicle fitment.

Reading the numbers: Zerostart 31/35- is the heater kit, 36- the detachable cordset ("lit" glows when the outlet is live). Kat's 11xxx is an element, 28xxx a cordset, 24xxx a pad. Location codes are the manufacturer's (LF = left front of block).

What it costs to plug in a Lincoln Corsair — and what it saves

No supplier lists a wattage for every Corsair element, so this uses the 600 W figure typical of this body style. Natural Resources Canada recommends a timer that runs the heater two hours before you drive rather than all night — that is what the numbers below assume.

Province¢/kWhCost per 2 h plug-inFull winter (120 nights)Net per day
Quebec7.0$0.08$10.08+$0.26
Manitoba10.2$0.12$14.69+$0.22
Ontario (avg TOU)12.8$0.15$18.43+$0.19
Alberta14.0$0.17$20.16+$0.18
Saskatchewan15.5$0.19$22.32+$0.16
Nova Scotia17.9$0.21$25.78+$0.13

Natural Resources Canada rates the Lincoln Corsair at 11.1 L/100 km in city driving (median across 2020–2026 model years). On a 20 km winter commute that is about 2.2 L a day. NRCan measured that at −20 °C a block heater improves overall fuel economy by as much as 10% — roughly 0.22 L, or $0.34 of gasoline at $1.55/L. On a single short trip at −25 °C the saving can reach 25%. In most provinces the electricity costs less than the fuel it saves; in the priciest it roughly breaks even, and you still get the wear, defrost and cabin-heat benefits.

No tools? The stick-on option

If you'd rather skip the install entirely, a magnetic heater grips any flat steel surface — oil pan, block, transmission pan — and moves between vehicles. Check that the Corsair's oil pan is steel first: a magnet won't hold on aluminum or composite pans.

First: check whether you already have one

Canadian-market vehicles are often fitted at the port or dealer and then forgotten by the next owner, so check the cord location above before you buy anything. If a cord is there, test it — a dead element and a dead cord look identical from the outside.

If you need one installed

Budget $40–$120 CAD for the part plus about an hour of labour, and book in October — Prairie shop calendars fill after the first cold snap.
